Katie Hood is Chief Executive Officer of the One Love Foundation, a position she has held since 2014. Under her leadership, the organization has become the nation’s leading educator of young people on the topic of healthy and unhealthy relationships, as both a primary prevention strategy for relationship abuse and as an investment in the relationship health of the next generation. One Love’s award-winning film-based, peer-to-peer educational workshops have reached more than 1.5 million young people in-person and over 100 million have engaged with One Love’s educational campaigns online. Prior to joining One Love, Katie was Chief Executive Officer at the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research where for nine years, she worked to drive research progress toward a cure for Parkinson’s disease. Katie also worked as a philanthropic consultant and served as a Visiting Lecturer at Duke University’s Sanford School of Public Policy. Before discovering her passion for philanthropy, she held positions at both Goldman Sachs and Bain & Company. Katie is a passionate, dynamic speaker who has appeared at TED, Aspen Ideas: Health, Milken Global Conference, Fortune’s Most Powerful Women Conference, and The Nantucket Project. She is frequently quoted as an expert on dating violence and healthy relationships in national media outlets from ABC News to Teen Vogue. Katie received her bachelor’s degree in Public Policy from Duke University and MBA from Harvard Business School. She currently serves on the Dean's Board of Advisors for Harvard Business School and the President's Advisory Council of Concordia College, and has served on the Advisory Board of the National Institutes of Neurological Disease and Stroke (NINDS) at the NIH, and as an advisor to the Institute of Medicine at the National Academies in Washington DC. Katie lives outside New York City with her husband and four children.

Leisle Bartley (she/her) is responsible for engaging youth and adults in One Love’s work throughout Los Angeles and Southern California. Leisle is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and has significant experience in the non-profit space. Prior to joining One Love, Leisle worked as Program Director at Films by Youth Inside, a violence prevention program empowering incarcerated youth. Leisle previously worked as Senior Therapist and Clinical Coordinator at Shields for Families, an agency providing comprehensive services for high-risk families in South Los Angeles. Before attaining her Master of Social Welfare (MSW) at UCLA, Leisle worked in project management for Razorfish, one of the world’s largest interactive agencies. Leisle has two teenage sons and is passionate about bringing One Love’s invaluable resources to all young people. Ellen H. Blais
Ellen H. Blais is One Love’s Executive Director of the New York Tri-State Region, leading initiatives to increase educational programming and partnerships in New York, New Jersey, and southern Connecticut and empowering communities to end relationship violence through education and awareness. Ellen brings over 25 years of experience in non-profit and business management. Previously, Ellen was Vice President of Development at STRIVE International where she implemented fundraising strategies that promoted revenue growth and stability for the organization. Prior she was an investment banker at Credit Suisse, executing initial public offerings and mergers & acquisitions, and served on the management team of the Global Investment Banking Department, coordinating the annual budgeting and strategic planning process. In her free time, Ellen volunteers as a tour guide at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and has served on the Board of Directors of the Appalachian Mountain Club. She holds a BA from Brown University and an MBA from Columbia Business School. She and her husband have three adult children. Katie C. brings 20 years of experience to One Love with focus in the areas of college- and career-readiness, training and development, human behavior, performance management, and conflict resolution through the lens of a social worker and immigrant. She has worked primarily in education focused non-profit organizations that serve young people. She likes to tell people she “develops soft skills in hard environments”.
Most recently Katie was an independent consultant to non-profits in the areas of training facilitation, program development, and writing. Prior to that, she held roles as a Program Manager at City Year, guidance counselor at an urban high school, and an academic adviser at Northeastern IL University. Katie has a BA in Social Work from Northeastern IL University and an MA in Social Service Administration from The University of Chicago.
One Love’s engagement manager for Oakland and its surrounding cities is the job she has been waiting for. The perfect blend of deepening human connections to themselves and their environments and a never-ending stream of administrative tasks that helps bring the stories of data to life.

Andi Garcia Brown
Andi Garcia Brown (she/her) is an Engagement Manager for One Love in the Pacific Northwest focusing on serving the Seattle, South King County, Peirce County and Oregon partners through outreach and community engagement. Andi is an energetic public health advocate who served in AmeriCorps in Chicago through two programs within the Greater Chicago Food Depository and National Health Corps. During her time in Chicago, she became a doula and volunteered with Chicago Volunteer Doulas which became her priority during the height of the pandemic. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Arizona in Africana Studies and a minor Health Sciences and is currently finishing her Masters of Nonprofit Leadership at Seattle University. Here at One Love she strives to engage and support community members through our train the trainer model and aid them in finding their groove when it comes to facilitating to their community.
Maya Kraft (she/her) is responsible for supporting high school and college student leaders for the Pacific Northwest Region of Washington, Oregon, and Idaho, as well as high schoolers across the US who live in states outside of our regional offices. She is passionate about empowering students to educate, advocate, and rally in their communities so that all young people can thrive in healthy relationships. Prior to One Love, she worked with several non-profit organizations in the Seattle area including managing an elementary school tutoring program as an AmeriCorps volunteer for Reading Partners, coordinating a food bank home delivery program for Jewish Family Service, facilitating support groups for survivors of intimate partner violence as an intern for LifeWire, and engaging youth volunteers in human trafficking prevention as an intern with The Lantern Project. Maya graduated from the University of Arizona with a B.A. in French and Global Studies and a minor in Gender and Women’s Studies and holds a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Washington. Juan Marte, Jr.
Kaitlyn McNerney joins the One Love Foundation with over fifteen years of nonprofit development and event planning experience. Most recently Kaitlyn served as Event Director of the Maryland 5 Star at Fair Hill, a new equestrian event for the state. Her role was focused on securing large sponsorships, executing event logistics, and creating a unique guest experience.
Prior to her time at the Maryland 5 Star, Kaitlyn was a Development Director at the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s Maryland Chapter, developing and managing five major events including the Grand National Steeplechase Luncheon, Baltimore’s premier food and wine event Passion for Food & Wine, and the social media foodie favorite, Feastival.
Gina is the Director of PR & Communications for One Love and is based out of the New York office. She is responsible for managing One Love’s communications strategies and increasing awareness of the organization and its mission. Prior to joining One Love in February of 2020, Gina was a Strategist at Blue State and an Associate Creative Director at J. Walter Thompson. Her work at these strategic agencies focused on establishing brand and messaging campaigns for her clients which included UNICEF USA, Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, The Rockefeller Foundation, and The Department of Veterans Affairs. Gina is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana where she studied Advertising. Libby Roberts (she/her) is responsible for developing One Love’s educational programming, including film and activity based curricula and training initiatives. Before joining One Love, she oversaw programs at After-School All-Stars Puget Sound and was a high school math teacher with the New York City Department of Education. Libby graduated from Hamilton College with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and philosophy and holds a master’s degree in secondary mathematics education from Relay Graduate School of Education. Shera Salgado Easter
Gabi Shutt is an Engagement Manager for One Love in the Pacific Northwest, focused on serving Eastern Washington, Idaho, and Montana. Gabi has 8 years of experience working in non-profits through arts education, arts administration, and grant writing. She has a B.A. in Dance Education from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and an M.A. in Arts Administration from Florida State University. Gabi is passionate about education, community engagement, and advancing access, diversity, equity, and inclusion. Melanie Sperling joined One Love in 2014 as One Love’s second employee. Her dedication to One Love’s mission inspired her work spearheading One Love’s integration into schools and development of strategic national campaigns including #LoveBetter. She now serves as One Love’s Director of Partner Success, focused on scaling One Love’s educational programming and ensuring that all partners have a positive experience with One Love. As the leader of this strategy, Melanie is responsible for developing a capacity building approach to supporting partners to bring One Love’s high-impact educational tools to communities on a national and international scale. Melanie graduated from Duke University with a B.A. in psychology, and received her MBA from Harvard Business School, where she graduated with second year honors, served as Chief Community Officer, and was a Dean’s Award Recipient. Melina Solis (she/her) is responsible for supporting thoughtful youth leader engagement throughout the Bay Area and greater California regions via individual coaching and group collaboration. Before joining One Love, she worked for two years in relationship violence prevention education and outreach at Stanford University, developing a passion for implementing intentional and intersectional prevention programs and partnerships. Melina graduated from Stanford University with a B.A. in Political Science and a minor in Psychology. As a California native, she loves helping high school and college student leaders in the region to advocate, educate, and rally their communities to live the 10 signs and love better.
